I’m giving this hotel 2 stars because, while it started off well, the overall experience was disappointing. The front desk employee who checked us in was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. We found a pair of women’s underwear under the bathroom sink, which indicates the bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly before our arrival. The next morning, as we were leaving for our cruise, we saw an extremely large cockroach in the hallway near the housekeeping area. We immediately informed the front desk. Instead of simply acknowledging the issue, we were told it had come from outside. While I understand insects can sometimes get indoors, finding one that large in the hallway, combined with the cleanliness issues in our room, left us disappointed. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay here again.

Do not stay here. Elevator out of order, we were on the 2nd floor. Thankfully we one had one piece of luggage a piece!!! Room smelled of mold, I sprayed with room spray, did not help. Beds are hard. Would have stayed somewhere else but hotels around in the area were booked to capacity due to the Galveston motorcycle rally. |Pictures on their website are not rooms at this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel on the way to a cruise, and it was perfect for a quick stopover. The hotel is a typical Quality Inn. It was affordable and clean. The lady at the front desk was nice and friendly. The only reason I'm ranking it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the room had some kind of smell to it. Just so you know, there is no fitness center. I couldn't find much information on the website because it's a chain, but I did find some sites online that said there is a fitness center. Apparently, that has been gone for years. The location is really great! There are restaurants very close, and the Walmart is 5 minutes away! We ended up going with the Olive Garden, which had great food and service.

I can't think of anything negative to say about our 5 night stay at Quality Inn Texas City I - 45! We had the Kings-Suite. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent! Everything was very clean, and smelled fresh. It was not noisy. I cannot compliment enough the comfort of the bed. My wife and I have back problems and it was excellent. I will definitely be coming back!

First off the person at the front desk was very nice! She had a job to do and was pleasant and sincere as could be. The room left a LOT to be desired. I booked the room 3-4 mo in advance. It was considred a disabled room for the shower etc. The texas shaped waffles were a friendly plus. Parking the car for a week (Carnival Cruise time) was a well-spent $40 The room: The air conditioner smell was a serious distraction. Loose weatherstrip indicates someone tried to contain some moisture somehwere. The window was broken. The bathroom door handle was broken. One of the coat hooks inside the bathroom door was broken. The outlets on the lamp were shot. The bathroom plumbing had extra insulating parts laying in the floor. The wallpaper was stapled in the bathroom where it had been peeling loose. The rooftop AC unit on the sidewalk was an interesting choice of landscaping. I've bought a few tired houses over the years, this was definitely in that category. The most disabled thing about this room was the maintenance crew. Looks like someone is cutting corners. If you get a deal, it's ok to stay here. Just don't expect much. Crash and be on your way.

I tired canceling the day before , they told me I couldn't so I ended up keeping my reservation. When I arrived they had already canceled it without my knowledge. They were able to get me into another room so I "rebooked". When I got to my room, it smelled horrible of strong mildew. I examined the beds and found bedbugs on the mattress of 1 and the other had hair still in the sheets. I told the front desk, I wasn't staying. She did offer to move me to a different room, but I declined. She did refund me . Her customer service was good, the room quality was horrible.

Great budget hotel for long or short stay, I spent 2 days here and used the hotel as a home base to do some crabbing and fishing at a nearby bayou. Everything works inside the room, while outside the room, there're a free self-service coffee dispenser and ice machine. Since the hotel only provide basic breakfast, which consists of basic things like cold muffins and toast, try more serious eating at the Chinese buffet next to the hotel, and the Jack in the Box across the street. All in all, I do recommend Texas City Quality Inn.
